ITAGroup has added virtual gift cards to its offerings for incentive and reward clients, reducing the fulfillment costs of traditional gift card programs.

The West Des Moines, IA-based performance-improvement company has partnered with virtual gift card company Giftango, using its software platform to run its virtual card programs. The Portland, OR-based Giftango provides gift card services for about a dozen incentive and loyalty houses.

ITAGroup began offering virtual gift cards to select clients in November and has been expanding the option since then.

“Instant delivery of an incentive through Giftango enhances the experience for the recipient,” says Larisa Mendenhall, director of individual awards for ITAGroup, in a statement. “It opens the door for new promotions and expands our offering, and this addition has been met with excitement from our clients.”

Giftango delivers virtual gift cards through the incentive and loyalty channels for 50 national brands, including Cabela’s, JCPenney, Lowe’s, Nike, and Zappos.com.
