Reward fulfillment company Bridge2 Solutions has added electronic gift card capabilities to its services and is in the process of beta testing its new Melodi Rewards Suite (mobile, local, digital) product.

Bridge2 Solutions has partnered with both CashStar and Giftango, leaders in virtual gifting solutions for the incentive market, to deliver the digital cards. It is using both companies based on its belief in “having multiple sources for selection, service, and competitive value,” says Andrew Althauser, executive vice president of the Atlanta- and Daytona Beach-based company.

“The emergence of electronic and mobile-fulfilled gift cards transforms the skill set of gift card fulfillment from warehousing and shipping to a more technically evolved solution,” says Althauser. “Electronic and mobile gift cards offer our clients great advantages in reduced fulfillment costs, reduced lost or stolen costs, and instant delivery, which can greatly enhance their value, profitability, and satisfaction.”

Bridge2 Solutions plans to begin rolling out certain features of the new Melodi Rewards Suite by June 1, with additional services being added over the next several months. Overall, Melodi will offer millions of rewards in all categories, available with no pre-paid inventory, no warehousing, and rewards that are fulfilled instantly and with no shipping charges. Capabilities include:

  • Electronic Gift Cards: Delivered instantly via e-mail or to smartphones.
  • Travel Booking Engine: Global booking of air, hotel, cruise, car rental, and packages.
  • Activities & Event Tickets: Millions of concerts, sporting events, adventures, tours, and attractions.
  • Downloads: MP3 music downloads. e-books, TV/DVD downloads, and Facebook credits will be available by the end of summer.
  • Merchandise: Special easy in-store pick-up of merchandise items at local Best Buy stores. Bridge2 Solutions is in talks with additional national retailers for expanding the integration of this feature.

“The Melodi Rewards Suite is accessible via a traditional branded web catalog, as well as our new mobile platform,” says Althauser. “The convergence of these rewards and technologies offers groundbreaking tools for engagement, instant gratification, and satisfaction for our incentive and loyalty participants.”

According to Althauser, following are examples of what the new suite will allow participants to do with their reward points:

  • Shop at their local Home Depot stores and download a mobile gift card to their smartphones before getting to the checkout line. (This service is available for any retailer offering mobile cards that has partnered with CashStar or Giftango.)
  • Visit their local Best Buy stores, scan, and purchase an iPod and leave with it.
  • Hear their favorite songs on the radio and download them instantly.
  • Browse cameras from the Bridge2 Solutions web catalog, locate and select a local Best Buy store with inventory, and complete their purchases. Upon arriving at Best Buy, participants will have access to special reserved parking and designated in-store pick-up/checkout lines.

“The entire suite is designed to engage program participants whenever and wherever they are thinking about their points, offer selection and convenience, and eliminate current program dissatisfaction, such as costly shipping and long fulfillment time frames.”
