Prepaid card provider Springbok Services can now offer incentive programs that are both bigger and more personal. The Englewood, Colorado-based company recently announced an expansion of its fulfillment capabilities that included a tripling of the physical size of its production center, allowing it to create more than six million cards per year. At the same time, Springbok Services announced the launch of Prepaid Greetings, a new product that lets corporate clients package recipients' prepaid cards inside greeting cards with individually customized images and graphics.

Before making these announcements, Springbok Services bucked the broad economic trends of the past year, increasing production by 146 percent from 2007 to 2008, and growing its staff by 42 percent. Springbok's healthy business reflects recent growth in the prepaid incentive industry which, according to research from Mercator Advisory Group, saw a business volume increase of 22.7 percent from 2006 to 2007.

Springbok's Prepaid Greetings is a three-tiered product. The Classic version includes a pre-made off-the-shelf greeting card with a standard message. The Coordinated option lets the client create a personalized message to go inside a pre-made card. And the third option, Your Design, allows the client to create completely customized cards with personalized designs and message on the front, inside and back of the cards.

Now is a good time to roll out the new customization option, despite the fact that lots of companies are cutting expenses across the board, says Springbok CEO Taylor Ohlsen: "When companies are willing to make an investment to get a message across, we found through our own studies, that they are willing to pay a little more to increase the visibility of that message. They are willing to pay that extra amount to make the investment have a higher return."
