Watches and Clocks
Time to Celebrate

"Watches are trending as the ultimate accessory
right now," says Jessica Brown, senior director of luxury goods
for Rymax, a NJ-based incentive house. "Instead of owning one
or two classic timepieces, program participants are redeeming
for a variety of pieces to build the ultimate watch wardrobe."
It comes as no surprise then that eye-catching details like
oversize cases, diamonds and crystals, rich gold, and two-tone
plating are hot right now - both for men and women, according
to Adrienne Forrest, vice president of special markets for
Bulova Corporation.
A case in point is the brilliant Bulova Fairlawn Collection timepiece (style 96R160),
which features 20 individually hand-set diamonds, an elegant rectangular case, a patterned white
mother-of-pearl dial, stylized Roman numerals, blue metallic
hands, and a blue cabochon crown. It is water resistant up to
about 98 feet. $450,

Meanwhile, the Citizen Eco-Drive Regent Chronograph
(FB1220-53D) dazzles with 28 diamonds set in an oversize
35-millimeter case, sapphire glass, mother-of-pearl dial, and a
one-second chronograph. $550,

Also popular are watches with "a vintage feel but a modern
edge, thanks to the popularity of TV shows like 'Mad Men' and
'Boardwalk Empire,'" Brown says. This includes the return of
leather straps, she adds.
The Philip Stein novelty timepiece features an elegant,
oversize 35-millimeter round face set with 52 diamonds, a
mother-of-pearl dial, roman numeral markers, and Natural Frequency Technology - which mimics frequencies
believed to be beneficial to life and overall well-being. It
also features a striking, gunmetal-gray ostrich-leather strap.
It is water resistant up to 96 feet. $2,160,

Meanwhile, for men, the ESQ by Movado Quest series chronograph (style 07301401) is right on trend with a rose-gold ion-plated case, textured silver-toned dial, three timing
subdials and date display, and brown crocodile-embossed leather strap. It is water resistant up to
96 feet. $495,

This Bulova Self-Winding Mechanical Collection watch (style
96A120) is similarly stylish with a unique, brown patterned
dial, rose-gold accents, luminous-fill hands, and a brown
leather strap. It also highlights another popular feature this winter:
technology. With more than 100 precisely calibrated working
parts, including 21 jewel bearings, the watch draws its power
source from the wearer's movements and even includes an
exhibition caseback for a view of classic timekeeping. It is
water resistant up to about 98 feet. $450,

Gunmetal gray is an increasingly popular choice for men, Brown says, while Forrest reiterates that chronographs and
multifunction watches are still very fashionable.
The Tissot PRS 330 (style T0764171103700) features a sporty, a
44-millimeter stainless steel case, stainless steel bracelet
(rubber is also an option), chronograph, fiery red hand and
dial accents, and Swiss-made quartz movement. It is water
resistant up to about 328 feet. $750,

The Citizen Eco-Drive World Chronograph A-T (style AT8010-58E)
is billed as the world's most accurate watch and features a radio-controlled
perpetual chronograph, half-second chronograph, and perpetual calendar. It is water resistant up to about 656 feet. $575,
