The PIXMA MG8120 and PIXMA MG6120 Wireless Photo All-In-One (AIO) printers are installed with the new Intelligent Touch System, Full High Definition (HD) Movie Print, and other upgrades that improve functionality and print quality. The Intelligent Touch System makes it easier for consumers to navigate through menus and perform everyday tasks with back-lit touch sensitive buttons and a light guidance system eliminating buttons not in use. Rather than utilize resistive touch technology, which relied on pressure being applied to the touch surface, the system employs capacitive touch technology, which picks up on electricity in the user’s body when a finger glides across the touch surface, much like that in use on smartphones. The new Full HD Movie Print, when combined with compatible HD Canon EOS and PowerShot Digital cameras, lets consumers more easily capture and print individual frames from captures on video.Canon PIXMA MG8120 and PIXMA MG6120 Wireless Photo AIO printers also include the recently upgraded versions of Auto Photo Fix II, Easy-PhotoPrint EX and Easy-WebPrint EX. Auto Photo Fix II, which helps correct common photo errors, now has enhanced light-source recognition and color-cast correction. Easy-PhotoPrint EX images can now be searched for and used from Flickr. Both printers also feature six individual ink tanks, including one that is grey, plus Advanced Media Handling options such as Auto Duplex copying, printing, and a two-way paper feed. In addition, each is 802.11n Wi-Fi certified, which allows for faster network transfer rates. Wireless networks can be set up with the press of one button when using a Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS).The PIXMA MG8120 sells for $299.99 while the PIXMA MG6120 is priced at $199.99.
